There are a number
of places on the Net you can find 3D images for sale. Many of the sites
also offer free samples for your viewing pleasure. Some are in the anaglyph
(red/blue) format. 3D Laboratories
is not an adult oriented site, but if you send them an SASE, they'll send
you a free pair of anaglyph viewing 3D glasses.
The other way to view images is called freeviewing, and you can learn how to do it in our Antique Freeviewing Gallery. By slightly crossing your eyes, you can get the full impact of the 3D illusion with special glasses. Once you learn how to do it, it really is quite amazing. One of the best formats for viewing 3D images on the Net is the JPS format. DepthCharge is a free plug-in for Netscape and Explorer for viewing and displaying JPS compatible 3D images. It helps with freeviewing as you can reduce image size, and also displays using LCD glasses and in anaglyph format. 3D Nudes in the Wilderness has some spectacular artistic nudes in the outdoors in both freeview and JPS. Top notch work, and the site notes that some day these will be incorporated into a coffee table book but sinceprinting it the way they want is still quite expensive, they'll first issue the images on a CD-ROM with special glasses . We certainly look forward to it. In the meantime, you can freeview the dozen sample images on the site. Another site we really love for artistic nudes is 3D Beauty. They have 47 nudes on site to view in either anaglyph or freeviewing format. I find them a little big for freeviewing, and since I was viewing them in Netscape, I just popped over to the editor and changed the image properties to 400 pixels wide, which I found much easier to view. They have a couple of viewers for sale, along with 14 different model sets of 3D slides, plus several combo sets. If you are looking for something a little more explicit, check out Awesome 3D. They have a pay site with tons of erotic anaglyph images. Better still, they have some of the best hardcore slide sets we have seen. They have over 40 sets featuring both adult stars and amateurs, plus you can get a 3D slide viewer for only $5 with any purchase. They also offer 3D CD-ROM imported from Taiwan. We've looked at a set of their slides and they are top notch, and their slide viewer works great. The effect is even better than the old Viewmasters as the images are larger and better done. Comic art fans will want to check out 3D Comix. It includes some of Dave Stevens' 3D anaglyph artwork for the Space Vixens in 3D comic, and Bettie Page in 3D, with a number of anaglyph samples from Ray Zone's now out of print Bettie Page 3D Picture Book. An entirely different way of viewing 3D is through the use of lenticular images. This uses two or more images layered together to create the illusion of the depth. One of the more common uses is to create simple animation by slightly tilting the image- a slight change in viewpoint lets you see the other images. This has been popular for a long time, and I'm sure you've seen them on pencil cases and postcards. There is a company that makes adult lenticular images. Lantor Ltd. offers 2 dozen adult images, which you can purchase as Note Books, Photo Albums, Address Books, Sticker Albums, Magnets, and framed. Finally, for some very unique
