The Hattachment
The Hitachi Magic Wand (see our review) is an enormously popular vibrator, but it is not designed for internal use. Several companies have come up with attachments that slip over the end of the Magic Wand and allow you to use it for vaginal and G-spot stimulation. Holiday products has just redone their original Hattachment, with new colors and a new material. The original was made out of hard vinyl and came only in blue. The new versions, besides blue, also come in pink and purple. They are made from a rigid jelly material that is slightly transparent. As with the original (which has been phased out), you can get them with either a straight extension or a slightly curved one for G-spot stimulation. In actual use, you probably won't notice much difference in the feel of the materials between the new version and the old one, but they are more attractive and a little softer to the touch. The extension part definitely has more flexibility. Our favorite is the G-spot version. Because you are dealing with what is essentially an L-shaped configuration, when inserted, the base of the Hitachi can also stimualte the clit and the vaginal lips. Kris likes the flat end of the Hitachi right up against her clit, and when we were trying this with the Hattachment on she grabbed the G-spot extension like a handle to give her a little control. One thing we did notice was that the cap has a slightly tighter fit, and on our several years old Hitachi, the extra pressure on the head made it noisier. I doubt this will be an issue with newer Hitachis, but we were able to reduce the extra noise by streching out the Hattachment a little first and then putting it on only 3/4 of the way. If you have a Hitachi, having an attachment helps you get a whole lot more out of it. Its an excellent investment for one of the most popular vibrators on the market. -JB |
