The Vaginal Substitute
It is called the Vaginal Substitute, and it is purported to be a device that feels just like the real thing when used masturbatorily. Basically, it is a piece of 3 1/8" clear plastic tubing with an air hole in the middle and a tube of textured latex affixed to both ends with a slight twist in the middle. This creates an interior space with three angled ripples, which is what provides the unique sensation. They come in several sizes. We tried the magnum (largest size) and the perfect fit (second to largest). They also have a virgin and tight-anal versions. Personally, I am not exactly on the small side, so the perfect fit was actually a tight fit and I don't know that I would want to go with anything smaller. Real vaginas are a bit more elastic than this device; you should choose based on the size of your penis. The Vaginal Substitute was designed by a doctor looking for a way to make obtaining semen samples a little easier. The design is quite clever. Being that it is open ended, you can stimulate either the head of the penis or the shaft. By putting a finger over the air hole, you can slightly increase the friction against the penis. You will need to use lube. Lots of lube. If you let the lube dry up too much, this is going to leave you a bit on the sore side. Keep yourself well lubed (easy to do since the end is open), and you won't have a problem. As with anything latex, using an oil-based lube will simply eat it alive, just like it does with condoms. Stick with the water-based types. Now, for the big question: Does it feel like a vagina? I'm not willing to say that it does, exactly, but I will say that the feeling is certainly reminiscent of the sensation. There is the initial sense of tightness and friction as you push into the device, and a very pleasant sensation of pressure around your penis as you slide it back and forth. It is more stimulating than doing the job manually. The smaller one I tried did remind me of the sensation of anal sex. Sure, I would not prefer this over the real thing, but then again, I get more than my fair share of the real thing. As a substitute, though, this is probably about as good an alternative as you will find. I should point out that I have not tried a lot of the other masturbation gizmos so I can't fairly compare it (but then again, most of those just frighten me). Also, this is not intended to be a pump or suction type device. It is strictly pressure and friction. I like pressure and friction. When you do have to take matters into your own hands, this is certainly an option worth considering. Your partner might even find it fun to use on you. The bottom line is that it clearly feels good, and masturbation aficionados will probably want to give it a try. You can buy it directly from the Web site: Vaginal Substitute -JB |
